Float Spa SF Featured in the News for Benefits for Stress, Anxiety, and PTSD

Our float center in Sneads Ferry, NC and franchisor, Beth Jones, were recently featured in The Daily News regarding the benefits of float therapy for stress, anxiety, and ptsd and to share the special incentive they offered to veterans.

“It’s like a reset.”

That’s how former Marine Raider Joe Bjornaas describes his experience in a flotation tank, also known as a sensory deprivation tank or isolation tank, a form of holistic therapy.

“It just relaxes the body and the mind, and gives you an opportunity to just sit still for a prolonged period of time with no outside interference or noise,” Bjornaas said.

Beth Jones is franchisor of The Float Spa, a Sneads Ferry based float company, and is president of the Flotation Tank Association. She was introduced to the concept of floatation therapy seven years ago by a Navy Seal who used it to help manage back pain after a helicopter accident.

Initially a skeptic who admits she thought the idea was crazy, Jones, 37, became a believer within 30 minutes of her first float.

“It totally changed my life,” Jones said. “This is the most powerful tool on the planet for stress and anxiety. I can’t live without it.”
